Voice For The Children was incorporated in 1990 in the state of Florida by Marianne Malky. As a 501C(3) missing children organization specializing in locating parentally abducted children. Voice For The Children, Inc. provides community services by way of Seminars, T.V., radio and other print media to educate and increase the awareness of this rising national and international crisis to the public. The topics addressed are parental abduction, parental alienation, child abuse and the resultant abhorrent related behavior patterns. Additionally, Voice For The Children, Inc. works with national, state, and local media; and individuals in publicizing the scope of the problem and the steps to take to help resolve these problems.

Introduction of the Founder and President

Ms. Malky has thirty-four (34) years experience and was instrumental in introducing and passing New Jersey’s Missing Children State Clearing House, as well as in passing of Bill A-2847 in New Jersey (interference with custody pertaining to parental abduction). On behalf of Voice for the Children, Ms. Malky has appeared on nationally televised shows including “Geraldo Rivera”, “Court TV with Johnny Cockran”, “Michael Reagan”, and has spoken on numerous radio shows in Florida, New York, and California. She further participates in the Florida Missing Children’s Day and the National Missing Children’s Day in Washington, D.C. In August and November, 2001, Ms. Malky’s story was featured on “Unsolved Mysteries”. Ms. Malky recently received an award from the State of Florida as “Citizen of the Year” for her work with missing and exploited children.

Programs and Activities

Voice for the Children, through its volunteers, visits local schools with “Robbie the Safety Robot” to teach the children about stranger and parental abduction. A program has also been added to “Robbie”, which teaches the children about Internet predators. Through college intern volunteers Voice for the Children envisions to increase public awareness by implementing more school programs in the form of plays and skits to illustrate ways to recognize and avoid dangerous situations. Voice for the Children envisions renting tent space at local activities such as “SunFest”, a 4 – 5 day event held annually in West Palm Beach and other such festivals that enable it to conduct fingerprinting and photographing of children to assist in locating any children who may be abducted in the future.
